Principal's Message

Dear Britt Elementary Families,  

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction. I am Keisha Blythers Jackson, your Proud Principal, and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such deep roots in the Snellville community. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty-seven years. My greatest initiative is to provide leadership that will build a school community of caring, inclusive, and empowered educators. A school community with supportive relationships, a sense of connectedness, and a sense of belonging and purpose.

As the old African proverb says, "It takes a village to raise a child." One could then imagine that it takes a close-knit community to nurture a school. Parents, teachers, support staff, community partners, and administration all have an important role in encouraging our scholars to become engaged and connected learners. We are their village!  

Not only am I excited to work with your scholars, but I look forward to the work we will do together. I am excited to see your scholar through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days here at Britt Elementary School. And of course, my staff and I will be here to help you should they need assistance navigating any aspect of their school day.  

As your scholar's Proud Principal, I look forward to working with you as a team to help your scholar meet their goals and have a successful school year. Please know that it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors- teachers, scholars, parents, and community partners- is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.
